Its hard to tell with those pics, but they look a little rough around the edges. If it were me, I'd offer $75 and see what happens. Can (anyone who knows better than I obviously) tell if those are the 2500 tweeters or the RDOs?
I got a black pair last year here in Co Springs for $40, but there was one bad tweet and I ended up replacing both with the RDOs. The Monitor 8T was practically identical to the RTA8T, no need to be sorry. I've had both and never noticed a difference, other than the tag.

Yep, all of the RTA series speakers are technically part of the Monitor line. Which is a mighty fine line of speakers I might add.;)
I'm yet to get my ears on any of the RTA's...but I'll probably end up picking up a pair of RTA11TL's sometime down the line. I've heard great things about them before...plus they have a lot of sexy factor. They're some good looking speakers IMO.The nirvana inducer-

No, they aren't actually. Is there an RTA equivelant to the Monitor 12? Is there a Monitor equivelant to the RTA12? How about the Monitor 5, 7, 9, 11? How about the RTA 11, 15?
Different series, with a good deal of overlap granted, but each touting some distinct models.
Anywho, not an RTA / Monitor discussion thread, just links on that world wide web thing for people to close escrow on the Polks they have been dreaming about.

Not trying to argue that point, but I have an owners manual for the vintage Monitor line...and it contains info for both the Monitor series(5Jr. thru Monitor 10) and RTA's(just the RTA12's though). It refers to them as the RTA12 Reference Monitor System. That's where I got that assumption from.
Sorry if that was bad information on my part.
Anywho...Here are some crappy looking 5Jr Series II's at way too high of a price!!

According to the seller, the 5Jr is a rare find...especially with the passive "woofer"...lol
Here's a nice looking pair of Monitor Series II's for $90. Price is a bit on the high side possibly, but I'm sure they could be talked down to $50-60 with a little work. You don't see these come up as often as some of the other Monitors.

RTA 11TL's. Only 4 years old? NOT. Jersey Shore.
These have been up for sale several times. The first time she wanted something like $800. I let her know that I was interested, but not at anything close to that price.
Later she offered them for about $100, and agreed to sell them to me. On the day I was to pick them up, she told me that a co-worker was going to buy them from her for more money. I was a little peeved, having made arrangements to get them, etc., but told her I understood.
And now, here they are again at a higher price. Buyer beware. -

I emailed the seller... disregard the Polk marketing copy about the SL2500 tweeter. Both the 5's and 5jr's have the SL2000 tweeter. (I would have bought them myself otherwise!)
