I can't even remember the last truely FUNNY flick I saw. And ofcourse, all the movies have great reviews, which tells me:

    A. The critics are now on the studio's payrolls

    or

    B. They're all smoking some awesome stuff.
I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

That's how most newer movies are.

They show you the three funniest parts of the movies in all of the previews, then you see the actual movie, and realize that those three parts are the only funny parts.

It seems like most comedies anymore just go for shock value, rather than actual humor.

I enjoyed it, but only 'cause I saw it for free. I recommend skipping this one and checking out BLACK DYNAMITE instead. It's an instant comedy classic!

I also enjoyed it, but the fact I rented it free from a Redbox machine with a promo code influenced that impression.

Would have been disappointed if I had paid $4 rental fee at Blockbuster.

I only rented it for a buck, but even if I had paid more I would still have the same opinion of it. I thought it was very funny, watched it by myself and was lol quite a bit.
Most of them only hear how loud it sounds, and the rest of us hear everything else -

Comedies are my very least favorite genre. Bring back the Chevy Chase's, Dan Aykroyd's, Bill Murry's and John Candy's of old and then we'll talk. Every single comedy and comedian (if you can call them at) we have today completely suck and are not funny.

This film looked so horrible just from the trailer I'd not go near it, ever.
    If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

Well, that's just generation gap. I don't like neither my dad's black & white monotone movies nor my little nephews and nieces's rappa-hip-hop chick flicks; but then again, neither do they like my favorite ones.

Hooray for nostalgia over good taste. Chase had all of two funny movies in his entire career, and Akroyd is almost invariably painful to watch. And I AM including the heyday of SNL, which aside from the iconic skits we all remember was near unwatchable (much like today's SNL).

Yes the majority of comedies and comedians are horrible nowadays but that's just because there's so many of them - if you can't find a single funny person in modern times, you're just a joyless old man who insists that nothing can ever match the crap they liked in the past. You'd be amazed at what you can enjoy if you actually let yourself.

They had many more then just "two" or being "painful to watch". I cannot find one good comedian we have now that was as funny as these guys were, not one.

I will say this, one good comedy as of late..."The Ugly Truth". Funny movie that did not involve any of our so called current comedians.
