Should I drop 4 bills plus on Red Green episodes?

The money isn't the issue. Just wondering if its worth it. We don't get much Red Green here in the States and certainly not as far south as I am. It was a favorite show when I was younger. We got it on PBS and I would stay up late with my brother on Saturday nights just to catch it. I'd like to have the episodes but I guess I need some convincing to drop that kinda coin on a frivolous item.

It's on both Iowa and Wisconsin Public Television, so I get to watch it both at my place in IL and IA! I got to meet part of the cast/crew at an IA PBS fund-raising event. Great show!DKG999

"The Red Green Show" was a Canadian comedy show about rednecks. Pretty entertaining, but NOT worth $400:rolleyes:
Heck, I wouldn't pay that much for the 3 stooges:eek:I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE! -
It's a great show, but $400 is steep. I can't think of another show off-hand that's $400 for the series...
I've always wanted this, but no way I'd drop $400 on it -
The show was on from 1991 to 2006 and there are over 300 episodes including specials and a feature length movie.
And obviously you haven't looked at purchasing shows like M*A*S*H or The Simpsons or Friends or any number of shows that had well over 200 episodes in the bank. The Simpsons single season DVD set is an average of $25. They currently have 20 seasons available for purchase. That's over $500. When Friends first came out on DVD, the season sets were almost $50 a piece. All 10 seasons would have run you pretty close to $500.
The Red Green Show might not have been super popular here and I guess people like obieone who believe they are above such things don't see value in it (evidenced by the sarcastic rolling eyes smiley) but a show that runs for 15 seasons tends to have just a few episodes and a large DVD set.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

I googled it -- A friend of mine from Maine explained to me that someone who drives a pickup and wears a plaid shirt is called a Chuck -- short for woodchuck. Sort of like a redneck in Oklahoma.
That said any comedy series that runs for 15 yrs about rednecks in plaid shirts must be worth 400
My daughters routinely buy me DVD series of Seinfeld for Christmas, so put it on your christmas list and maybe your peeps will all pitch in and buy it for youYamaha RX-V2700, EMI 711As (front), RCA K-16 (rear), Magnavox Console (Center & TV Stand), Sony SMP-N200 media streamer, Dual 1249 TT =--- Sharp Aquas 60" LCD tellie -

I bought MASH at Fry's for $120 for the whole series. I bought every single season of the Simpsons for $12.99 at Best Buy. I bought Friends for my wife for Christmas for $99 on Amazon.
I'm not saying it's not 'worth' $400, that's for you to decide since it's your money.
Maybe I should revise my original statement to read "I can't think of another show off-hand that can't be had for significantly less than $400 for the series".
Red Green is one of my favorite shows of all time, I would not pay $400 for the series, same as I'm not going to fork over $350 for the Star Trek Next Generation series even though that's also one of my favorites. Given the price of other shows out there, I simply think the premium they're asking is too much. -

You're not gettin' what I'm saying.
You can find The Simpsons and Friends and MASH and and Star Trek anywhere. You can't find Red Green. Unless you live in The Great White North, eh. The choice of getting the season packs as they are released on sale at Best Buy doesn't exist for something like this. You found your stuff for deals in various places. Finding Red Green stuff isn't exactly easy.
Also, it seems that there are people out there selling pirate copies of the season that they ripped off from just recording the shows off of CBC. Not exactly something you want to pay a couple hundred bucks for.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

Why? Because this is Club Polk and we're a bunch of enablers. -

Last I checked, NetFlix does have it. Just lettin' you know...Ludicrous gibs! -
Actually I'm not sure that they do have the full set, they have some kind of volumes, but I don't know if they're the full series, I checked that last night, ironically enough
