Replaced FXi30's with FX500...need opinion....

As the title said, I changed the surround speakers I Have in Room 2 which is in my sig....I haven't edited my sig yet...

My question is, do the older FX500 match the FXi30's as far as timbre??? So far I like the way they sound, the highs could be a little better......

Here is a stupid question, are the tweeters the same?? would it help to swap the tweeters if they fit??

    If I'm not mistaken, the main difference between the FX500's and the FXi series was the mid-range drivers. I don't think they changed the tweeters. Not sure how the x-overs might make a difference in your case. Have you connected both of them up to just a two channel system and played music through them to see if they really do sound that much different?

    finally got around to doing that, the FX500's are awesome, much improved over the FXi30's....Thanks for the advice..
