A question for the Management

Its nice to hear from a member of Polk Audio's marketing management. I love this forum and would hate to see it go away.

As I was reading and enjoying the thread I realized I was also wondering why the marketing department at Polk Audio has been so silent/absent when it comes to producing a new flagship line.

So, here is the question:

Does Polk Audio have any plans to introduce some new product? If so, when?

BTW, I own 12 pairs of polks of various vintages/applications and would probably buy the new stuff IF it ever comes out.

Ok, there, I asked the $64,000.00 question. So, marketing department, what say you?:)

New products are always in the works. Recently, just a few - Polk released what, 13 new subwoofers? The entire RM series and in-wall series was redesigned. There is an entirely new Atrium series, including a Garden System with subwoofer. Take a look at the Hitmaster and IHT.

The LSi series is Polk's flagship line, and I can't go into details, but some great things are happening for that series.

    Cheers,
    Russ

Thanks Russ for the quick reply. I have seen all the activity in other areas and those are fine but my interest, and my question, referred to the flagship line.

Again thanks for the reply, but my question to the management still stands unanswered.

I have seen many posts celebrating the purchase on non-Polk flagship level product on this site for the last year and a half. It'd be nice to see that trend turn toward the new Polk product.

It all seems so mysterious...why must it be so?

have you ever invested hundreds of thousands into R&D on a product so you could bring said product to market?

Polk (or any company) would be making a mistake in choreographing what they're working on to all of their competitors.

I'm glad RuSsMaN let the cat's head peek out of the bag with regards to the LSi line because having just recently heard about it myself I have been pretty anxious to see what they're going to be offering.

Just be patient. Polk is a lot more open about what's going on internally with their new/upgraded product lines than most. Not to mention all of the demos of their new/upgraded products.

I'm just interested in the new product. A little friendly nudge is to be expected from interested consumers, so: nudge, nudge....:)

For the record, I think 've been patient for almost two years (I bought some LSi9's in August 2008 and joined the club then)....I suppose I can wait longer but hopefully not another two years....

I am excited about the new stuff, that's all.

I understand that you have been patient. You are not the only one. There are great things coming to that lineup but those who know about it have signed a non-disclosure agreement. In other words, we can not talk about it. Not to you, not to our friends, our families, nobody. That was part of the agreement.

Plans may not be finalized, they may still be doing research, they may be at the fine tuning stage...I don't know. What I do know is that Polk will release the lineup and offer information about it to the general public when they are ready. Unfortunately, nothing else can be said about the subject.

Good things come to those who wait. ;)

This is some very interesting news on the LSi series. I'm planning on snagging myself a pair of LSi9's a bit later in the year...now I'm wondering if I should wait a little longer.

I think with all the Polk speakers he owns he contributed to the R & D!;)
