Go to Audiogon.com and do a search, they may have like units for sale through that auction service. Same with ebay. Audiogon also has a blue book service but I believe it has a cost attached. I am not familiar with the items you have mentioned, good luck.Home Theater

If they are mint condition, offer $600 and go from there. By looking at Ebay prices, that seems fair. Just my two cents. It's all in the detail.

As in Polk Monitor 70s? If so you can see what they're going for right now @,
http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=polk+monitor+70+speakers&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=2834726335&ref=pd_sl_23oomq7j3h_b
In "general", figure 3/8ths of the M.S.R.P. for a used speaker. -
If you do check out, recommend going to the advanced search menu and search on completed auctions. It helps to give a feel for what the unit actually sold for.

Monitor 70s have sold as cheaply as 340 a pair 'new' on newegg.com
So you can take it from there. A price for 2 used Monitor 70s...less than 300.....250 would be reasonable (price for both)? Originally 915 a pair, they usually sold for around 399 each at the now defunct CC..and were often on sale there for 299 each. But now you can get them for at least 400 a pair NEW from jr.com
Good luck..they are a nice speaker!

Welcome to CP jimbo79!
I hate buying stuff like this from friends... like someone said earlier, a good friend who apparently got them cheap and also has no use for them... IDK, I think he should be offering you a deal. Perhaps you can offer him something you're not using in trade? Otherwise, like others suggested, search google, eBay, Craig's list, etc... to see what they're going for. Best of luck. If you end up with them, let us know what you think.
P.S. Try not to post the same thing in multiple parts of the forum! -

Here are a couple data points on the Monitor 70s.
Brand new from Newegg: $230 each with free shipping.
Refurbs from the Polk Audio Ebay store: about $400 including shipping.
If they are in excellent condition, I would offer no more than 75% of the Polk Ebay price of $400, iow $300. -
On the Polk Audio eBay store, polkdirect, the average price for the last 90 days (79 pairs sold) is $297.49 plus $60 shipping. Lowest price in December was $227.50.
