Hi, I'm looking for another pair of original Monitor 11 RTAs or Monitor 12s close to Indianapolis, say 200 miles.
I'll take cabinets with crossovers only if that's all I can find.
Condition not really concerned about as I'll repair and veneer if needed.
Thank,
Harry

Hi Harry,
Wish you were closer to me in CT. I'd sell you my 12Bs and keep the 10s you sold me. Hope all is well. I see you sold another set of speakers recently. Do you grow them somewhere?

Hey Allen,
I wish I could grow them. I love the older Polks and I've learned a lot about them through here. Some of these guys have the upgrades and mods down to a science. I sit back patiently copying their mods, playing with the upgrades, and using all I'm learning to build a pair of speakers to my ears, room, and listening preferences.
OK, I'm just a tweaker that can't keep his hands off a good thing. I guess it's my therapy.
I'm wanting to make a pair with good veneers, external high quality crossovers, and all fresh drivers etc.
I'm on a single full range driver speaker building kick right now using Lowther, Fostex, and Wild Burros. Learning about cabinets as best I can. I guess I just like to tinker.
The old monitor series Polks are part of my listening heritage I can't get out of my system and Personally hate the vinyl coverings on cabinets.
I've been thinking i can adjust a cabinet to my likes and do the same on the crossovers and driver side as well.
Great hearing from you.
I might have found some M11 RTA I used to own close to me. Working on the details.

Hello Harry,
You will always be ahead of me in tinkering, and better at it, too. Gotta tell you that my electronics engineer neighbor and I just finished caps and resistors on my original KLH6s. Am I allowed to say that on this site? Anyway, they sound fabulous, just as good as the day I bought them. One tweet was only running at half strength due to bad caps and it came right back. Refinished the cases, new cloth grilles. Thought I would sell them. Not now. I'm going to set them up in my office or somewhere and power them with a simple NAD 7155 receiver, also an original. Good luck on the M11s. Keep in touch.
Allen
