Need new Source

So I've just ordered an external DAC/head phone amp (the maverick audio D1 DAC) by the advice of people on the heard-fi forums. And I will soon be ordering some sennheiser HD600s/650s not sure which yet, I will soon have a chance to give both of them a listen and will make my decision then. At that point my weakest link in my chain will be my source.(currently I m using a PC and lossless audio not the best choice I know) I'm very excited at this point because finally it seems that a Mid-fi to Hi-fi system will finally be in my reach, and i could use all the advice I can get.

My budget is maybe $200 or at most $300. At this point I m thinking I should go with a digital transport of some kind because I already will have an external DAC.

But at this point the only experience I have with CD players is the one i bought from good will, Pioneer PD 5010 for like $7. I really have no Idea what I'm looking for and have no real way to give anything of this nature a listen on gear that is even remotely similar to mine.(most Hi-Fi shops ignore head phones). What do you guys think? I will basically be buying of the advice you guys give me because again I have no real way of listening to gear of this nature and how it relates to play back by head-phones. If at all possible at my budget I would like to get SACD play back because from what I have read around hear that is pretty much the best digital format. But if not I would be fine with a super awesome CD player.

    Get a HiFace usb-> spdif and you are set. It can be ordered with bnc if needed.

    Thanks man but I m going to be using the spdif out of my sound card to my external DAC I was looking for a suggestion for a nice CD/SACD player or a nice CD/SACD digital transport that would work well with my Headphones and DAC/amp.

    I'm using a Denon 2910 as my source...and it sounds great even by itself. Things sound even better when I run it through my DAC though.:)

    It has SACD decoding, as well as HDCD decoding, plus DVD/DVD-A playback...plus just about any other type of disc you can throw at it(other than Blu-rays).
