You evil evil person....I am 25 minutes from those.

I would have to sell either my SRS's or 2.3's first though, just thinking I could gain some house room ...and not lose too much in the sound department.

They do look nice......and those are one of the couple of SDA's I havent owned yet......

Whats even more coincidental, is that I myself am going up to San Jose today to meet someone from craigslist in a Frys parking lot to sell something for 450 dollars. Hmmm...driving back I have a free day...a big **** truck...and 450 in my pocket. :o

I literally would have to drop them off at a friends in Gilroy though....I have no physical room without getting rid of either the SRS's or 2.3's.

I already had Carver Amazings at their house....traded them for a pair of 10b's...and now I have a mint complete SRT speaker system in factory boxes sitting in their house....man I cant even talk myself into getting these today unless I get room at my house...damn.

Why are the SRT's in their boxes???? Shouldn't they be hooked up and cranking out some great sound?

How/why did you trade some Carver Amazings for some 10b's..Really?

Seriously, I hope you can get these....IF you want them...
and you can thank John also..it was his Craiglist "master search" link that lead me to them.

The Carver Amazings were functionally perfect with a poor finish that was scratched ...but the pair had new woofers and great ribbons...in the move to a friends house they were still functionally perfect....then the move from the bedroom to the garage saw one of the lower ribbons get a shifted magnet and it punctured the ribbon :(

At the time I had just had surgery ( So I couldnt work on or move them whatsoever ) and didnt feel like letting them take up space at my friends house any longer so I traded them to another forum member for a pair of 10b's ( He replaced the wounded ribbon and made them well again ).

As for the SRT system , that was total luck on the golf course my friend lives on ( Same friend who stored the Amazings ) ...Before getting the mint SRT system....I had driven all the way to Reno and struck out on a rough set of SRT's ( He wanted a 1,000 for the set...it was in too rough of shape for me to want to spend 1,000 on so I passed on the deal ...another forum member grabbed them and refurbished them...so they at least stayed in the working SRT gene pool )

An older lady my friend knew on the golf course had just had her husband pass away ...and told my friend she wanted to get rid of these ugly black speakers that were her late husbands stored in one of their spare bedrooms. A week or 2 had passed and I was just thinking these were probably white van or best buy specials ...my friend is NOT an audio guy so he wouldnt know what they were.

I was at his house one night and he mentioned it again, so I said lets go see...and it turned out to be my second set of SRT's in front of me in the same month. But there was one exception, this set was as mint as the other set in Reno was beat. The Reno set looked like they had rolled around in the back of a truck for a week...this set looked like it had rolled off the factory floor last week.

Basically she wanted them gone and needed a computer....I have computers coming out of my ears...match made in heaven and no cash outlay ( The one I traded to her was a very nice custom built gaming machine...not some prefab junk...so I could sleep at night after the trade :p )

As for the 1C's....He wanted 375 cash or trade for a nice amplifier, very nice guy....but without moving out one of my larger pairs of SDA's...I had to pass.

Also, I believe just by talking to him in length....he decided to just keep the speakers afterall....smart guy.
