what kind of issues might i run into with the sda cable in the front channel 1c and the rta in the rear? is that the right way to hook it up for the theatre or should i not use the sda cable at all. also what frequencies does the sda cable transfer? is standard silver teflon the right choice to make one at home. it seems the cable has 3 pins...is one for highs and one for lows? in thats case should i use copper for the lows and silver for the highs? thanks a bunch, dan

OK so i came across another recent post and answered the high low question. thanks. i still wonder about front to rear. is the sda front going to adversely affect the 5.1 surround? i ask this because it seems to me the sda is designed for stereo not a processed multi channel signal.

I don't think it's going to adversly affect it. It may be DIFFERENT, sure, but whether it's negative or not is up to you.

SDA speakers are designed to recieve two channels of information per pair. Putting them in an HT environment is no different. They're getting LF and RF signals. You MAY find that you don't need a center channel, as well. It's all going to be personal preference. Quite a few people on here use SDAs in an HT setting.
I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

ahh no center i didnt think of that. weel have to see though i think the center is going to be a big key and i honestly dont think id ever get rid of my 350:D interesting point though. i wonder if the sda might dampen the movement of sound left to right(or v.v.) in true 5.1.

i wonder what effect it would have to set up an sda surround so that all channels talked to the ones next to it? i bet its already done inside the components but i havent yet seen one at the speakers. i better patent that idea before it gets out. this is the official disclaimer that it was my idea lol

You're a little late on the patent. There's a couple all SDA HT setups floating around here.

I've got both my fronts and surrounds connected. I also use a center. Very immersive.

your connected left to right not front to rear correct. i wonder if its possible to go front to rear as well? oh wait probably not due to the direction the speakers are facing...i just answered my own. so you like them then i take it
