Basic storyline, blah acting, good creature effects, and the ever so hot Salma Hayek. I was entertained and the nearly 2 hour running time went by rather quickly but not much here worth buying into, a rental at best.
If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

Salma with facial hair. Haunts my dreams ever since.
I saw this movie at the theatre. Promising but fell flat but I did have high expectations. Acting was subpar. I thought the 2 hours dragged. I doubt this series will continue unless it goes straight to video (budget: $40 mil, gross worldwide; $28.5 mil).
Forgettable.
