Hi members.
I'm upgrading to 7.1 and wondering what speakers I should go for as an extra pair of surrounds?
I have a pair of rt800i's for fronts and fx500i's for the rear.
I like to go with another pair of fx500i's which are great for dvd but in terms of dvd audio, I believe another pair of rt800i's are better suited.
Any opinions on which speaker to get?

It depends on what receiver or preamp you have. I have the Denon 3801 in my system with Polks. It uses both direct radiating and dipole for rears depending on the movie you are watching. Dipole is beter for action while direct is better for others. Most important is YOUR ears and what YOU like. IMO I would not have two pair of dipole for sides get a pair of RT-35s or 25s for the side speakers IMO.
