is there much difference between the silk/polymer tweeter and the tri-laminate tweeter?

If I had both in my system.. would I notice any difference? Right now all my tweets with the exception of the fx/300 are tri-lams. Which tweeter is better sounding?

The black silks cut off around 20kHz, the Tri-lams, 26kHz. I can really tell the difference. The Tri-lams are cleaner, more detailed and crisper (for a lack of better words).

I had the f/x300 as surrounds and did not care for how flat they sounded so I upgraded to the RT25i's with the Tri-lams. Much better match with the front RT55's and CS400.

cool thanks Ron-P i like the bi polar effect with the f/x300i's. but if they had tri lams in them.. i think they would mate better with the rest of my other speakers. Not that it's bad right now.. but i was just curious if I was missing something or not.

I may go with rt800i's as rears soon.. which would solve the tweeter problem.
