Still undecided

Well as of right now I have only a two channel amp running my mains and am running my center and surrounds off my avr.

I have sold the parasound 1201a monoblocks that are in my sig and ever since have regreted it. So I was searching the net and came across a listing of a guy that has 5 of these for sale. I am really playing with the idea of getting these but still don't know. The only reason for this is that since you guys all like helping people spend money I thought I would ask for opinions.

I know this is in the end my decision but well it never hurts to ask for opinions. I do really like my Halo but am really missing the extra punch from a good amp for the rest of the speakers.

I am pretty sure that If I decide to sell the Halo I have a buyer already just need to give them some time to get the funds together and that part really dosen't bother me. The one thing that is kinda keeping me from doing this is the fact of having 5 seperate amps for the HT.

So let me have your opinions on what some of you think. I have really enjoyed my journey with all of you so far and have made a few good friends so far so I value what everyone has to say.

Thanks in advance

I guess that I should add the price of the amps IMO is very good, good enough in fact kinda hard to pass up. I did try to see if he would seperate but yea no such luck its all or nothing.

Well WHY do you want 5 separate amps? I'm sorry but I think it is impractical to have 5 separate when you have it all in one box using only 1 outlet.

But hey if you have the space & outlets, go for it. But if you are just doing it for the coolness factor...rethink it.

    That would be awesome Mark.

I could see having three separate amps for the fronts and center. The rears don't require so much power but hey I'm sure it will be an improvement. Go for it Mark and enjoy the extra power and clarity.

Since it's a take 'em all or none at all deal & you have the outlets & don't mind the extra PC's...go for it. Although a 5 channel amp would tidy things up a bit.

Its not about the coolness factor I really don't need that since really nobody gives a **** about my system or what its all about. The thing for me is that I really miss the amps that I had and these really do not come up for sale very often.

The other option that I have thought about is since it is a all or nothing sale is to buy them and sell the ones that I do not use, and find a cheaper two channel amp for the surrounds. I'm still not sure what to do but Im sure I will figure it out. Thanks for the responses everyone.

I'd buy all five, keep the nicest three, sell the other two, and keep the halo for the rears. You should have a relatively easy time selling a pair of monos.
