    What kind of person hands the item for sale to someone sitting in a car? You are just asking to be taken advantage of. I feel sorry for the guy but he is not very smart, thats for sure.

    Although I prefer the anonymity and safety of Ebay, it's more practical to sell bulky items on Craigslist. If at all possible, I don't even let prospective buyers into my house. A small item I will take out on the front porch. For something that requires a demonstration of functionality, I will put it in the garage. Although I'm sure 99% of Craigslist buyers are honest, these days you just can't be too careful.
