Ok I am going to sell this very nice Teac-X2000R Reel to Reel it hasnt been serviced recently, it has been in storage for some time. The pictures were taken without cleaning polishing or any of that so please keep that in mind.

This also comes with the optional dust cover and all manuals, instructions, remote etc. It appears from closer inspection that the dust cover has been repaired but in very nice condition. A new dust cover alone recently sold for $275.00 here....

This unit from what little time I had to look at it doesnt have a single scratch on it anywhere, and lesser units have sold for in the 1000-1500 range on Ebay.

I only ask that if you purchase this dont turn around and flip it for double your money 2 weeks later. Offer it to another polkie here first. I know that I have very little into this unit (well actually nothing) because I allready sold one item out of this bunch of stuff allready for more than I paid for everything, but I wanted to offer something up here for a good price.

This offer is only good for 24 hrs then off to Ebay it goes after I have had time to service clean and polish it up. Russ AKA hoosier21 has first dibs on this. $600.00

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

I have this same reel to reel deck. It is phenominal! I can't recommend this as a source enough. Reel to reel tapes can last up to 30-35 years (allbeit they get pretty beat up). It's a phenominal format for high quality audio and this is one of the best consumer grade reel to reel decks ever manufactured.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

I've got one. Fantastic. One of the best recording Reel to Reels ever made for in home. I put most of my vinyl on mine and Maxell UD XL and love the sound quality. Next to vinyl with good tape. There's a lot of good tape on the market still.
Give away price on a good working machine. Cool offer.

Thanks for letting me know so quickly. I actually figured this was probably a dead thread, given its age.

Hey Roy, I don't know how long I'll be here. If you're wondering how long I'll be active on the site, it sort of depends on the content that's available. I got here by googling the TEAC. I'm not sure yet what I've found or will find here. I'm also sure I don't have much wisdom to offer; but I do have plenty to gain:-)
