Ok, so about 10 days ago, after being cooped up during the snow storm for so many days, I realized I was obsessing about upgrades and improvements... and a few days later... these show up.

I had been using two Definitive Technology ProMonitor 800s as back surround speakers - great speakers, but it drove me crazy that they didn't match my Polks. I also had another pair of these hooked up to my Yamaha as "presence" speakers... I experimented with these for a while and in the end, they really did nothing for me, so they were basically mounted in my HT and went unused.
So, the plan was to move the DT speakers into my family room to replace a set of 5 Acoustic Research satellite speakers - that's where acquiring the Procenter 1000 came in. With the family room now significantly upgraded, I needed a set of back speakers to complete the 7.1 setup in my HT, and J&R had a fantastic deal on a pair of RTi4s - perfect! I picked up the Pinpoint AM-40 wall mounts too.
Additionally, I was also looking for better power management, so I went with the Monster Power HTS 3600 MKII PowerCenter.
Finally, I wanted to experiment with interconnects and I posted quite a few questions on here about them. And, in an outstanding example of how great Club Polk Folks can be, Hawkeye stepped forward with an offer to let me try out a pair of AudioQuest Scarlet Vipers! I've been playing with these new toys all weekend. My impressions will follow soon...

Great stuff Bro! Keep it coming.
And, as an added bonus, I now know that it's all sucking 1.5 amps out of my wall... Ahhh, it's worth it!
