It`s going to be a great week

Just finished a wonderful supper at a friends` chalet in front of Lac St. Ferdinand. 4 snowmobiles are loaded up in the trailer, ready for an early morning departure to the town of Shawinigan, 2 hours away. Then, it`s one week of trail riding going through Lac St. Jean, Chibougamou, Lebel sur Quevillon, Senneterre etc etc....I am so stoked.

Anyway, I just wanted to wish you fellow polkies a great week and I`ll see you back again with some interestig stories and a few photos.

    The Polaris blows his engine on a long stretch of former railroad track. Ah those touchy 2-stroke engines. The rest of us had 4-strokes.

    Small cabins are found here and there on the trail for a rest stop. This one had an outhouse for the ladies I presume...we normally piss in the woods.

    Motel in the town of Parent. The trail between Clova and Parent wasn't groomed. We met a few other snowmobilers and took the road to Parent instead. The 105 km trip was done at speeds between 120 and 150 kph. My machine topped out at 170 kph.

    Not sure what town this was, but it sure was pretty. A group of tourists were coming up the hill at that moment.

    Looks like great fun! Except for the unheated seats in he outhouse, poor girls! I love the pic of snowmobiles outside the motel, you don't see that everyday.
