Speaker to Sub Match up

For a two channel set up do you all think it would be better to match up main speakers with PR's with subs with PR's also and similarly ported main speakers with ported subs?
For example I have a pair of SDA 2B's in my head would match up better with one of the micro pro subs versus a pair of ported book shelf 2 ways match up better with a DSW ported sub.
I do not have any intention of matching my 2B's with a sub but this is just one of those things that runs through my little brain.

I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

I dont think it would really matter, as long as it gets the output that you want. If you really want to eq it you can get some of the equalizer stuff at parts express.
The pr's dont really make a difference, they are like half way in between ported and sealed subs: musical but still some good extensionReceiver:Yamaha RX-V363
