    Welcome to CP.

it would depend on the primary use in my opinion. If it is for mainly music many would recommend the LSi's. If it is a HT application the I would vote for the A7's. What amp/recevier will you be using to power these. The LSI's are a little harder to drive and may end up needing more power. Either would be a good choice though. Do you plan on using a sub as well?
    Front - RTiA5's
    Rear - RTiA3's
    Center - CSiA4
    Sub - PSW110

    Welcome to the Club!

RTiA9s would work great in that large room that you have.

Agreed - Get the A9's unless you want to fork out some serious cash.

With the RTiA9's, like the RTi12's, you'll need to tame the tweeter a bit for music.

    Very easily done.

Rti a9's get my vote because you're looking for a 50/50 system. 2 channel I'd go SDA's. They can be had cheaper than the LSI9's and they sound much better. They also function very well for a dual purpose system.

And you tame a "tweeter" how?

With a good amp, I prefer the LSi25's, or LSi15's or LSi9's over the RTi12's.

    HT or music?

Love my LSi9's, but without a sub they lack low end bass. I need my sub for music too. For HT you will use a sub anyways. For music, some people don't like to run a sub. My HSU sub gives me some seamless base so it's a non-issue.

I have owned only the RTi6's and can only compare to them. They were too bright for me. Although I mainly listen to music, I love the LSi's (have an LSiC) for HT better than my RTi6/CSi5. For me the soundstage seems more seamless, and the vocals are far better. Your mileage may vary.
