What lesson can we learn from this?

Beauty may be only skin deep but stupid goes right to the bone. Those tires are cheap crap. Not designed for high speed burnouts. Dumb a$$!!!

reafirms what I already knew, that those burnout competitions are stupid as hell. I hate to see cars get abused for no good reason.....racing is one thing (speed, honor, et al) but a burnout? yaaaaaaaaay! ****!

At least it is an America V8 doing that. Vintage 1982 or so I believe.

The problem there was that he put the car in D and did the burnout. The car shifted gears twice and that's a very bad thing to do in a burnout.

He should have put it in 1 or 2 because it would have locked it in a single gear and limited tire speed. He could have sat on that all day long if he did it properly.

I dont know which is dumber here... the idiot that was doing the burn-out, or the organizers of the event for letting spectators so close to the cars in the first place. By the looks of things, I would say it's a miracle nobody was hurt, or worse.

I don't get it either. Strap the car down so it won't move and burn your rear tires up. First one to destroy tires or blow an engine wins?
