JK JK JK. So, since finding and joining this site just over a month ago, I have..

1) Fully modded my SDA SRS 1.2tl's. Mortite, dynamat, sonicaps, mills, upgraded interconnect, eight new RDO-198-1's.
2) Stolen one of my Carver amps out of my HT to run the Polks.
3) Bought ALL new ic's, including changing out the ic's on the TT.
4) Ran a dedicated 20a circuit to 2-channel rig.
5) Bought a new soldering iron, because the FOUR I already owned I didn't feel were sufficient for the XO's.
6) Now have a laundry list of **** I want to buy.
7) Picked up a pair of rta15 tl's, just for fun.

Audio equipment has been a hobby of mine since I was ten, some thirty+ years ago. I sort of haven't been "into" it for last ten years or so, you know, kids, house etc. I recently got out of another hobby, (hardcore snowmobiling), and have had great fun "rediscovering" audio.
You guys have a been a great help.:D:D:D:D:D

They would have been bored long ago because they have the money to do whatever they want. Imagine if you could create your "dream rig" in a phone call instead of trying to build it over 20 years or a life time. What fun would that be?

    Tim,

Those are SDA primos....worth a listen! I haven't heard that higher end model myself yet.

To OP I've always been impressed by people who get into this hobby so much that they rework and tweak the internals of their equipment. I'm too lazy to learn 'all of that'. I'm kind of like the guy who says when asked, after people see his sound equipment and CDs, etc. Do you play a musical instrument? To which he replies, yeah, I play the 'turntable'!

    Kudos to you!!

There's nothing really to learn Bro. It's a matter of getting past the fear then popping the top and giving it a go. If you screw up there is always a fix it might be costly but the rewards of tweaking far outweigh the down side.:)
