Unauthorized sellers

Bryston has a list of unauthorized internet sellers on their home page. I find this very odd. How do these sellers get product if they are not authorized? Since Byrston clearly knows about them, why don't they take legal action? I'm not sure how much extra revenue it creates for Bryston. I wouldn't think it would be much since these sellers generally don't generate more Bryston business, they just steal it from authorized dealers.

And if you go to Digital Craze they seem to ready with product and free shipping. LOL. I wouldn't buy from them, but I'm sure people do...

    The postings are mainly to inform consumers that there will not be any warranty coverage if they buy from these dealers. I agree that they probably do not generate any significant business through these channels, but I am sure they bring in a small amount of corporate revenue. Now if a "non-customer" comes to them with a warranty issue they can now just say "is your vendor on this list?" and that is the end of any warranty conversation.

    I think the "unauthorized seller" is a way for manufacturers to unload B-stock and be done with it. They know about it but don't care. They move product that would be sitting on the shelf. Second, I'm betting that the manufacturers does not want it known they have B stock.
