I bought five polk speakers in Aug of 2002(rti70,csi40, fxi30) and recently had the tweeter go on one of th rti70. Was a little suprised because I was not really driving them that hard, but knew I had an excellent warranty with Polk. Dropped it off at CC APRIL 9th and I still do not have my speaker back. Supposedly they needed parts and the national service center said that it had been delivered to the store last tuesday, but that meant detroit, which is still only 70 miles from where I bought them. Anybody have any similar dealings with CC on their service policy?

i thought something was wrong with the sub on my rti100. i e-mailed polk and they said send the driver to them and they would send me a replacement free of charge. maybe you should try contacting polk directly instead of going through cc, polk probably deals with less idiots then CC so im sure they will be more speedy and more tolerant. i have never had a problem with polk.

Let me tell you about the way Circuit City handles warranty problems: Wait, I better not, I know too much having worked there, and it's not that pretty. Don't get me wrong, CC is a great store, but it's got issues with the service dept.

I've had problems with polk speakers before, and My experience is: POLK is awesome. As far as your current situation goes, keep on bugging the Circuit City store, but for all future issues, definately mail it straight to polk (call first).

I'd call and hound the GM of the store on a daily basis, and if that goes nowhere, go higher up. A month on a speaker part is ridiculous, especially one that's readily in stock and available from the manufacturer, regardless of who that is. I'd tell them that they have 5 days, and it better be done or they can consider them returned.

One thing that I don't put up with is ignorant lazy **** that have zero motivation to get things fixed and handled for the customer. The part should be overnighted, especially at this point, and should have been back then. Waiting a month and to STILL not have the part, I can tell you that heads would roll if I was made to wait that long for something that should take 5-7 days........MAX!!!!!

rhulett my advice is never go to cc unless you can get the best deal there. i find abc can give me a way better deal than cc. but i am buying my seccond 120gig hd they have some monster mail in rebates. 120 gig for 80 bucks after rebate.
