So I finally grew a pair and pulled the X-over out of the left speaker. Gonna replace poly switches in both. Got the iron fired up and ready to pull the old switches out. Here goes nothing.

Just finished one. That was way easier than I thought it would be.

What speaker system are you modding?

Done! Not in record time or anything but a lot faster than I thought it would take.

I have a pair of 2.3's. Got a couple of tweeters from George and an interconnect from Ben. Now to replace 2 of the 6511's. Then will bi-amp with my Onkyo Grand Integra M508taking on the lower end and my McIntosh 2205 covering the top.

Have you thought about upgrading the crossovers with Sonic caps & Mills resistors? They really give you the WOW factor once burned in.

+1000 on the cap and resistor upgrades.

Did you jumper the area where the poly was installed of put in a 0.5ohm resistor?

Just my humble opinion but I would wait to see how they sound before adding the .5 ohm resistor. My 1.2TLs sound great with just the jumper but I am going to try the .5 ohm 5 watt resistor to see if I get an improvement.

    You need more than that.

I need two oily hickory switches and a gallon of rheumatiz medicine.
