Have to admit for 150 bucks I get allot of wow factor with this little thing. HDMI built in so I can playback right from the cam to the PJ or plasma. The PQ is very good. Here is a little demo I made of the HT. Make sure you watch in 720p. My video editing is subpar, but I'll get it down eventually.

    Very nice setup!!

And I really liked the scene from Transformers! Though I'm also very glad you stopped it when you did; I haven't seen it yet. Guess it's time to watch it!

Appreciate the kind words. The HT has come a pretty good way since I first started. It's been fun along the way though.

Got my wife a flip for Christmas. She loves it, but will probably lose it like she lost the Olympus digital camera I got her.

Love your HT set up. I can tell that you've put lots of time, effort and $$$ into it!

Cool! that is pretty good esp for a $150 vid cam in HD.
I bought a couple of the non HD flips for my kids last christmas for about $70 each from woot, and they still love playing with them.

Consider that those POS Disney still cameras (like this) with the 1/2 inch screen (if that) are selling for $50-$70 for, I say again, a POS! Spending a hair more, or even double in the Ultra Flip HD's case would be well worth it. That's pretty cool that they have an HDMI interface right on it. The non HD just have a USB port so you can only upload them to a computer.

How does it do in low light?

Man I remember back in my teen years getting a hold of some kind of basic B&W cheapo video camera that used a cassette tape to record onto was cool, even though it wasn't even real video-it was almost, as I recall, like ascii text in motion or something lame like that, but eveybody at the party got a kick out of it. Now the technology is so much better and the prices are reasonable.

With low light it does fairly well also. I'm also thinking of the Kodak Zi8 which I will then either return the Flip or just sell it cheap.

Recently received a Flip MinoHD courtesy of Google. Will play around with it when I have time. Btw, that's the same Transformers 2 scene that I show off my HT with, especially when Optimus pulls off his magnum opus moves =0.

It's definitely pretty good for the price point. I think I'm going to try the Kodak Zi8 and decide which to keep. Both are very nice products.
