I am going to mount my CSi5 upside down in my home theater. Do I need to reverse the +/- speaker wires or just leave them the way the would be if it was upright? (+ to red and - to black)

The wiring stays the same. Red to red, black to black... you're good to go.
Yep, Huck..LOL -
You would leave them the normal way.
I have my center upside down so that it points up towards the listening position. Have not had any issues at all with it.Front - RTiA5's

Thanks guys....yes I was serious. I was thinking that because the ctr channel has 2 speakers that they were left and right. I guess the sound is the same in both speakers so it would not matter if it was upside down. Trust me...I've asked way dumber questions than this one!

Don't sweat it.....welcome to the Club

Right on Larry! On another note here we are welcoming a guy who's been a member longer than us LMAO!!!! -
I share his concern, but not his lack of electrical knowledge!
Seriously though.. wouldn't a sound that pans across the front come out backwards as it tries to play from R to L if the center is flipped upside down? I have always wondered that myself but I have a lack of audio theory knowledge. My Home Theater:

never found an issue with mine as I had mine like this due to having a lower stand and recently just switched it the other way around. Personally I never noticed anything like this happening as I notice the shift in sound more from the L,C,R and vise versa than from one cone of the center to the other, but maybe thats just me.

I don't have much electrical knowledge, but I would assume that since the center channel is only receiving one signal, the two woofers would receive the center signal simultaneously and thus fire in unison. Therefore, the center would not be able to discern a left signal or a right signal. . . That is my assumption and we all know what happens when one assumes!!! -

I agree with the Huckster."Don't forget to change your politician. They are like diapers they need to be changed regularly, and for the same reason." -
wow duhhh I forgot to put that in my post as well. As I would have said I'm not sure how a speaker would know to break the signal into one to go to the right cone and the other to the left as it is coming through the same cross over that is having the same signal sent. The only breaking apart of the signal I could see is the high range to the tweeter and the the rest to the woofers, as the cross over can't send the signal to the left cone and the other to the right ect.

Then how does the sound appear to come "Across" the speaker.. left to right. Is that an audio illusion generated by the sound coming from a speaker on the left, to a center, to a speaker on the right? It sure seems like it plays in the left speaker first, and then the right speaker, before it moves on to the Right front tower. My Home Theater:

Bingo.
Any left/right you may "hear" coming specifically from the center is a matter of residual signal/decay from the main that the sound is moving from.I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

Unless the center CHANNEL speaker has two inputs, left and right, there is only a single source signal going to it, and can't go to a internal left or right driver. (Until we get nano-bot stereo systems) It appears to move because you are hearing sound from your left or right speaker. Just like the sonic image can appear to come from the center of the sound stage when running 2 channel.
