What's up with these saturday afternoon games. Ottawa vs. New Jersey starts at 3:00PM EDT. That's pretty early to start drinking, makes for a long night.

How about them Ducks.

All we need now is Ottawa to beat NJ and we'll have a new champ other than Detroit, Colorado, Dallas. Sorry Wangotango, Avsfan. ;)

Ducks are getting unbelieveable goaltending. But they must be doing something right if they can score against a defensive team like Dallas.

I hope the Canucks close out the series tonight. It's been a nail bitter every game except game 5. That was embarassing. They lost focus and Minn made them pay.

This will be Ottawa's biggest test. If they can beat Broduer and NJ, I'd have to favour them for the cup. They're just solid all around.

Hey, How 'bout them Flyers....... geez what a **** they laid in Game 6.

Lovin' the Ducks, but gotta believe that the winner is coming out of the East.

I guess Ottawa may have learned a little from their early exits in the past. I thought Philly would rough them up.

I would love to see an Ottawa vs Vancouver final. That's if the Wild don't pull the another out of your **** comeback.

    GO Canucks GO!!.......

Well, if Vancouver doesn't do it tonite.........I think the Wilds we take on the seventh game.

I would like to see Vancouver vs the Anaheim.....I would like to see how great the Ducks are after they beat the top rated teams... Red Wings and now the Dallas Stars.

If NJ gets past the Sens, NJ wins the cup hands down. If the Sens beat NJ it will be one of the better SCF in a while. (NJ vs COL was good though)

Personally I am rooting for the Ducks. Like the way they are playing right now. Any time you beat the number one and two seeds...it's not a fluke. The team is for real, and Vaancouver or Minnesota will have a tough time of it.

The thing with the Ducks too, is they came out of nowhere in the second half of the season to make the playoffs. So maybe it's not so much of a surprise they're still here. My buddy said they were second in points after the allstar break, I can't confirm that though.

The Ducks are no fluke, they had 90 some points. I gotta believe the winner will come from the east but who knows the way the playoffs have gone this year. Pullin for the Wild to take them Canucks.

The Canucks shouldda finished them off but couldn't. Have to respect a team that can claw their way back from a 3-1 deficit.

Only consolation is the Canucks haven't played a solid game for the entire series. Bad part is it doesn't look like they'll get that type of effort tonight.

Wouldn't hurt so bad if they fought them tooth and nail and Minn won. But to have so many brain farts in the last two games... grrr...

Still rootin' for the Canucks though. Go Canucks!! Don't make me take my heart medicine!! I'll do it, I swear!!!

Even if the Wild lose tonight its still pretty damn impresive to come back from two 3 games to 1 deficits. I'm shocked the last two games have been blowouts, Minnesota is not know for its offense. Go Wild, Go Devils.

Don't worry, the Canucks can't lose. The Cooke goal with 1.2 seconds left is an indication of what's going to happen. It's fate.

    Mourn...

I liked how hard the Canucks played but those two weird goals...
Cloutier shouldda stopped the third goal. Bertuzzi took a dumb penalty which caused the fourth. Cloutier was just playing scared after the first goal...

Well, the Canucks did have a pretty good season. Bummed that they slumpped going into the playoffs.

Well. Go Ottawa. The only Canadian team left and a pretty good one.

lol. I remember at the beginning, I was thinking the west was too strong for the east. I guess that's why I don't win my hockey pools right?

Got to give credit. Minn played a smart disciplined game. If it's all the same to you, I hope this doesn't inspire a half dozen teams to adopt their system. I hate it. It slows the game down to a scrum/wrestling match. It's like they play not to lose. It just doesn't seem right for the playoffs.

That system wins in the playoffs. It totally sucks. Ottawa - Vancouver would have been one hell of a final.

I don't think I'll be watching the Ducks and Wild, just the Sens now.

Sens - Devils should be a very good series.

As for playing not to lose... I thought it was called defense? Hard for me to name a team since the hayday of the Oilers that was an offensive team in the regular season and did not try to tighten up the D come playoffs.

Ducks and Wild just played inspired hockey. Just think they are playing for second place now. The glass slipper doesn't end up in the Cup very often...

The Avs could play an offensive game. Of course they tighted down their D for the playoffs. They did not revert to the trap though. Minn plays the trap and they play it very very well. It's a sound system. What I could do without is the clutching and grabbing during the series. If there's a battle on the boards, the Minn players would clutch/grab and drap themselves all over the Canucks if they lost the battle. They only had to do it long enough for another minn player to come up and support them.

Vancouver didn't get it done on defense and Cloutier's play wasn't good enough.

Dallas plays the trap and the Dallas/Edm battles were some of the best hockey I've watched. Dallas didn't clutch and grab and the flow and the intensity of the games were great.

The Ottawa/NJ game was a good one last night too. Lots of flow and skating.

I am sending some hate mail to my ABC affiliate here. They interupted the game for a storm update and missed the freaking OT goal.

Hi, I'm back but still morning the BIG loss to those stubborn Wilds since last thursday.

This may have been Vancouver last chance to make it to the finals and they blew it all by losing to the expansion team......thanks for the great goaltending(Cloutier), inefficient goal scoring from the(Naslund,BER,Morris..etc.) big boys and bad bounces(first goal in the first period on the 7th and final game).....etc. The Canucks will be a much different team by next season as many contracts are up and it will be sad to see some of these players leave but I guess that's way the business/games is. Well, I 'll be sad for a while yet......I even picked up a set of Canucks Medallions (coins) before the regular season ended.....some people are selling them on Ebay......I guess the prices must have tanked by now. On saturday I would have watched the Canucks vs the DUCKS but instead I went shopping instead with the wife and seen the Canucks t-shirts all marked down to 1/2 price........well .....maybe next year? and even cheaper if you paid US dollar for them.

Well, Good luck to the Senators on the Lord Stanley Cup and for the Ducks to knock off the Wilds......
