Is a new sub really needed?

Well I have my new system all setup. It sounds great. For the longest time I was fretting over needing a new sub, but the one that I have sounds great. I wonder if I just do not know what I am missing????

Your opinions?

    Do you have any experience with better subs?

    IMO a new sub would be a nice upgrade.

    upgrades are always good.. that is if you are not happy with what you have.

    I would try to go to some local shops and take a listen to different subs and see if one grabs your attention. If you are happy with what you have why change?
    Unless you have money that is burning a hole in the pocket and in that case I will be sending you a list of things that I could use. J/k good luck with your search and remember its your system and you are the one that needs to be happy with it.

    It's a case of not knowing what you're missing.

    I'm sure the PSW350 is a decent sub...but the Polk PSW series isn't exactly a high end sub. Until the DSW series came out, Polk's subs have generally been sub par IMO. The PSW505 is the gem of the pre-DSW series subs though.

    I like my PSW350, but I did plug one of the ports with a rubber cup (plumbing temp plug type) and it hits deeper and cleaner, a least IMO. But I have Mon 10b's, so about the only time I even hear/ notice the sub is watching movies, for those 'big' sound effects...like in Terminator I watched last night...:D

    But then again, there are some awesome new subs out there.
