Hello all,

I have had a set of polks for years now, but I am now upgrading.....I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on a set up with an onkyo tx-sr806, polk monitor 60's in front. polk cs2 center, and polk monitor 30's in back. I am going to bi-amp the 60's so it will be a 5.1 set-up.
I am also just going to use my old polk psw300 for a sub.

tell me what you think

Thanks for all of the welcomes. I should start by saying that I have been a polk and onkyo guy for a while. My new stuff includes a panasonic g1042 plasma along with the onkyo 806.....i purchased everything online and it is all going to be installed in what was a spare bedroom for the last 30 years. I like to think I am building a good system....well it is good enough for a 12*16 room.

welcome to the club, the set up is perfect except that bi amp is not worth the effort and money.
just browse or search in the forum for greater debate on this.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

Welcome to Club Polk, and that is a very good start to your first HT setup. You will be pleased with the Monitors, but have you already bought them? If not you can get the Monitor 70's in Black for $174.99 ea. Just went on sale today with promo code EMCYNZT39. If not, the 60's will do just fine. Good choice in AVR's btw as well, I have an 806 and am very pleased by it's performance.
