Actually, pretty funny.
As noted in my other thread, I'm getting rid of my H/K 7300 as my 2 channel pre-. Yesterday I replaced the H/K with a Denon 1906. After listening for about 10 minutes, I told my wife that the Denon was going to have to be a temporary fix until I could find something else. "Why?" was her response. I explained that the sound was a downgrade from the H/K. "Why does that matter? You only use it when you're listening to your music."

My wife still turns on the 50" 1080p plasma to SD channels and rolls her eyes when I turn to the HD channel equivalent and chide her for watching lo-res..she says it doesn't matter to her.

Samo, samo! My wife doesn't care if it is in HD, BluRay or whatever. Just as long as she can follow the story on the screen.

LOL!, even though our financial situation doesn't permit getting an OPPO BD-83 she wants to know why we don't have one as she's hooked on HD. She watches all her cable shows that are available in HD. -

Ditto. My girlfriend does the same thing. Drives me INSANE. SD looks way worse on my plasma than it did on the old tube TV, too.I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.
