Good Evening,

I finally got some extra money and can afford to get a real set of speakers. I was looking at newegg and there selling polk speakers pretty reasonably.

What I’m planning to do is buy a pair of 60 Monitor and a matching center speaker and then a powered sub. That’s were you guys might be able to help me out.

Looking at the prices, for the same money I can get either,

A) 2 PSW10
B) PSW505
C) Or a Yamaha SW315

Another option would be to drop the sub altogether and get a set of Monitor 70s.

I don’t really know what would be best, I’ll be using them to play videogames and movies.

I have a Yamaha RX-N600 receiver from college to drive everything. Whats the best bet?

Welcome to Club Polk swb, IMHO the 505 would be the best bet. One 505 will outperform 2 PSW10's all day, and for the price it can be had for right now, it is a steal. I am trying hard not to sell my PSW125 to get one, lol.
