Anyone out there know the book/resell value of a pair of Polk Audio RTi70s? I am thinking about downsizing my mains and going with the RTi A3s as a replacement.

Thanks,

Ray

Depends on the condition of course but I just bought a pair of RTI70's a few months ago for $175......they look like they just came out of the box. I would say anywhere from $150 - $220. Start high and give yourself some wiggle room to 'negotiate'. Those 70's TO ME are better than the speakers that replaced them.....and better than than the ones that replaced those. They have a strong following so if you're looking to sell them....you'll have no problem. Heck....maybe one of those people jumping on the Newegg Monitor 70 bandwagon will jump on them if you sell them on this forum. Those 70's are FAR AND AWAY an overall better speaker than those Monitors......

I agree they are fantastic speakers. They are the speakers that I first discovered the Polk magic with. Perhaps I should sell the bedroom Klipsch RF-25's instead and move the Polks in there. Hmmmm.

    $150 max.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Yeah, I think anybody would jump on them for $150.......which is why you'll never find them for that amount.....unless the condition is sub par of course....

Yeah......$200 isn't bad to pay. $150 is an INSANELY good price for those....which is why you'll never find them for that price. Somebody looking to sell them would be foolish to sell them for that.

Well, I guess the RTi70's must be some crazy gem of the RTi series or something...because I'd be hesitant to even pay $150 for them.

Have you heard them? If so, have you compared them to the lines that replaced them? I'm curious to hear your thoughts on them.
