But it will never happen...that self-preservation thing always kicks in.

Nonetheless...this is still an awesome video. It's been around for a while but I'm still amazed every time I watch it. Spend four minutes to watch if you have never seen it. Take it full screen in the highest res you monitor will go. Very Cool...and not a waste of time IMO.

I guess I will just have to live this sort of thing vicariously through my kids. My youngest has already done the skydiving and hang gliding stuff. She also skis, does whitewater kayaking and rock climbing. My other daughter is into traveling in 3rd world countries in addition to skiing and scuba diving in places like the Indian Ocean.

Carl, one time on the beach in Wildwood, 30 years ago, we were all (about 15 of us with our wives) sitting on the beach and this little brat decided to start throwing french fries to the seagulls. Needless to say those scavengers started circling in droves. In the mean time we're dodging a rain of seagull **** screaming at the kid to stop and he wouldn't. After a minute or two the little brat's mother started bitching at us to stop yelling at her son. The kid in the meantime is looking up at the gulls and almost simultaneously SPLAT, the kid got a wad of **** in his mouth and face and the mother caught one on the head all through here hair.

We were pissing ourselves laughing, wives included.

Served the little **** right and his overprotective mother.

I was refering to the skydiving part, but if I had the chance, I'd through that wingsuit on in a heartbeat, nothing like flying through the air with a birds eye view. Something you have to experience at least once. Whats the worse that could happen ? You die ? Funny, the older you get,the less you worry about it,for me anyway. I know thats a strange way of looking at it,but lets face it,once you get to a certain age,how much longer do you have to be able to do it ? I say try the skydiving, first jump your teathered to a experienced trainer anyway, then you really appreciate that video and what those wingsuits do. Just doo it.:)
