Polk Soundbars

I've been reviewing the soundbar links and couldn't find info related to the following two questions.
1) Are there any concerns related to the polk soundbars not having hdmi inputs?
2) Are there any short term plans for polk releasing new soundbars? If I'm not mistaken these have been around for a while.
I'm probably not one to talk about new releases as my current audio system is a Denon avr800 with the Polk RMS 3000. Yea, they're rather old....
