SDA-1B Think I found the problem!

I think I ought to go with the .5 ohm resistor for now because i'm going to put the juice to 'em,and the speakers already sound a little bright to me.Big Al recommended a Mills resistor, but i'm not so up on that stuff...where do I get a couple of Mills resistors? If tolerance is a factor I don't guess Radio Shack stuff would work..as I remember the best they do is 5%.
I've got things going in the shop and when thats cleared out I can take these out there to rebuild, for now want to get the system up and running in the ballpark, then save for the parts. -

And by the way--if you happen to take a DC resistance measurement of the MW6509 drivers, I'd love to know the results. One of mine was 8 ohms; another was 9.5 ohms, and all the others were in-between but tended to be either below 8.5 or above 9.0.
The two lower drivers are measuring 3.3ohms,but thats with the wires connected...don't know if it makes a difference, but i'd have to pull em and use some tools to remove the wires. Also the cabinet from the lower drivers up are stuffed full of that white cottony polyester packing material. Is that suppose to be there? -

Yes.Political Correctness'.........defined
"A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a t-u-r-d by the clean end."

8:28am EST,polyswitches removed and jumped.Power up AOK.Sounds good at low volume level, but unable to test further due to neighbor at home.Stay tuned...

Well with the switches removed the sound quality and volume achievable is much improved and I think the .5ohm resistor will help the over brightness,as suggested.Am much much happier with the new amp for sure...as for the speakers, they just got too big for my little listening space of 11'x13'! But really I only crank it hard for particular musical passages, licks, and long sustains that go off into interesting distortions or honks.
Next step is to get that Sony outta there and plug the SA-9500II back in.
After that I can see changing those old (cheapo) capacitors out will probably surprize me alot.
This is great!!
Thanks for the help you guys!
