Maverick D1 DAC

So I just placed an order for a sennheiser HD 555 coast me just over $90 shipped.

I m thinking about getting the Maverick D1 DAC to use as a DAC for stereo play back and as a head phone amp. (and maybe a pre-amp down the road.) It will be connected by the optical out of my sound card.

What do you guys think of it? Is it a good performer in its price class, are there better options, dose it suck, is it the best product ever etc...

My budget its pretty much maxed out at 200-230.

    Also on a side note If any one has gotten the tube upgrade they are offering I would like to hear your thoughts.
