I recently purchased a new SRS Receiver (Pioneer 1019AH-K). I recently had a older Onkyo receiver that I had my Sub hooked to using the Front 2 speakers hooked to the subwoofer as Polk suggested. Since I have a new system now I would like to use the Pre-Out on the Pioneer. How do I do this or any suggestions on whether to use the LFE filtered or unfiltered option. Could someone give me the best option. Thanks

    Basic procedure:

    1. Make sure the subwoofer is enabled in the receiver's setup (check the manual for the specific menu options).
    2. Make sure the LFE option is enabled in the receiver (again, check the manual for the specific menu options).
    3. Power off the receiver.
    4. Make sure the subwoofer is also powered off by disconnecting the power cord.
    5. Connect one of a subwoofer cable to the Subwoofer LFE output on the receiver.
    6. Connect the other end subwoofer cable to the single RCA input that is marked as LFE (usually, but not always, it's R/LFE).
    7. Set the subwoofer Low Pass dial to the LFE setting.
    8. Connect the power cord to the subwoofer, plug the power cord into an outlet (verify the power light is lit), then switch the power to Auto or On.
    9. At this point, the receiver can also be powered on and further system adjustments using the subwoofer are now possible.
