I know, I know, this movie is like 12 years old now. But I did I search and didn't really find anything discussing the movie. And thats a shame. I never really heard much of the film at all. And anytime I did for some reason I thought it was another cliche sports movie(major league, remember the titans, and on and on). So my good friend told me I had to see it, its one of his favorites of all time. Coming from him (he has about the worst choice of movies I've ever seen), I came in with low expectations.

Man was I wrong, I loved it. Even though half the movie takes place in a bowling alley it has nothing to do with it and that was such a relief. And John Goodman fit in the walter character PERFECTLY. I can come up with so many quotes from him and I only seen the movie twice... SHUT THE F UP DONNY

There's still some little things I don't understand like how it was gonna work with bunny and the money when she just shows up not even knowing she was supposed to be kidnapped. And why "the jesus" was even in the movie to begin with (he was classic though). But overall, a great movie.

It is one of my favorites of all time too. My favorite line is, "what are you a park ranger now" LMAO

the situation with Bunny and the moeny goes like this. Bunny had no idea that people were saying that she was kidnapped. She was away visiting friends or something. The nihilists were the ones trying to get money and they cut off the other girls toe and mailed it to the real lebowski to try to convince him that they had bunny and to pay the ransom.

Oh, I thought this was all lebowski's doing, and he was scheming his foundation for a million dollars. Haha now I'm really confused. So you are saying lebowski actually thought she was kidnapped?

i dont think that lebowski cared one way or another. I dont know if he thought she was kidnapped. He used it as an oppurtunity to get a million for him self. He was on a fixed income that maude, his daughter, set up so that he did not spend all of the money his foundations had. He received a note saying she, bunny, was kidnapped and to pay a ransom. He said to hell with her, let me keep the million and send the dude out with an empty breifcase to pay the kidnappers. If she was really kidnapped oh well, if she wasnt then no money lost.

I liked that movie alot too.

    A couple more along the same lines and also influencing before watching is recomended too are;

The big white out , with Robin Williams in a situation too. Realistic filming like the first Office space was. You can just picture yourself in these situations and probably doing the same things they end up doing.:D

All time Favorite.. Fargo.. Always funny.

There was another about a Self storage facility owner at the age of 22 or something. I think he and his sister inherit it and the situations around that guy are hilarious. A hardware store gets robbed and during the robbery they stumble upon a **** filming set and pics of who are involved around their comunity. Hilarios stuff. Anbody remember this films name?
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

I thought it was a great movie. Very funny. I enjoyed it more than Fargo, personally.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Rancho Deluxe..a strange but good flick.

Something interesting about Lebowski..if you are a bowler you might notice that the bald headed guy at the end of the movie is none other than Hofer Barry Asher!

Oh man, there are just so many great and unexpected scenes in that movie.

The "dude" is driving in his piece of crap car and smoking the last few puffs of a a joint.

He drops the lit butt in his lap, fumbles around and tries to find it with his free hand, and then lets out an extremely high pitched scream of pain. Tries to put it out by dumping an open bottle of beer in his lap, swerves the car, jumps the curb and hits a dumpster.

...Not that that ever happened to me.
