New audio enthusiast need help-feedback
Wow, got bit by the audio bug and going broke real fast! I'm new to the club also and I would like some feedback on my set-up and help with the right speaker stands, cables, and interconnects.
My HT set-up: Rotel RB 993, Rotel RSP 1069 (pre/pro), PS3, Monitor 70 fronts, Cs1, and monitor 40 rears
2 channel set : Rotel RB 991, Rotel 1070 (pre), Lite audio60 Dac(modded), Sony CX 355 cdp, Monster HTS 3500 (power center) Polk LSi 9
My questions:
1.Are Audioquest sidewinders / copperhead good IC's?
2. Does anyone know a good speaker stand (stable ) for the LSi9's?
3. Know any good bi-wire speaker cables?
4. Just bought the LSi's used (ebay) seem in good condition, but they don't sound too much better than the monitor 70's, is something wrong with me?
Thanks in advance

1 - yes, but I found them to be a little on the fragile side. (I think they are a single wire inside and it can break if not handled / routed carefully - just my experience)
2 - For rear speakers, the B-Tech stands are great (they mount to the wall) for front speakers, I am not really sure.
3 - Signal cable
4 - yes. (assuming you are saying LSi9's don't really sound any better than monitor 70's)
Welcome to Club Polk.

Thanks alot Mike. Could you recommend good interconnects? And how did you remove the wood sides of your Lsi 7's. Any pics available? Anyway thanks for your help, will look into the Signal speaker cables.

The audioquest are good - just need to be careful with them. (I wasn't)
Signal cable also has very good interconnects. (MIT and many other good brands out there as well)
For the sides of my LSi7's - click the link in my sig next to the LSi7's... (the one that says wood sides removed)
Good luck with the stands.
