What tweeter is installed? Pop it out and look on the back. Hopefully we're not talking about a Peerless era tweeter.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

rdo 194 is the replacement for your model tweeter.

Yes. Mention you are a Club Polk member to get the discount.

If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.

now I need to know what size poly switches to use. there is no markings on mine, but there are a bunch of different ones listed at parts express. when I called polk they said they did'nt have any.

after reading about the poly switches on here I think I will just put a .5 ohm resistor in there. I recently bought an Adcom 555 to run the 10's but I'm using an old harman kardon pm665 as a pre until I can afford the Adcom 750 pre-amp. I think that should provide enough clean power to forget about the poly swithches.

Please tell me if I'm wrong! I do tend to crank the volume sometimes

You should be fine. I ran a 545 for years and even when the distortion lights flickered a tiny bit, I never tripped a poly. As long as you don't get stupid you should be fine.

Why are you putting a .5 ohm resistor there? Just wondering.

To compensate from the resistance lost from removing the polyswitch.

My Model 10's are from 1977. How are the various models identified? Would those be "Peerless era tweeters?" If so, what is the correct model replacement for them?
