Kinda spooky....first Haiti, then over to the Caymens, then Mexico, moved up off the coast of California, now in the midwest, maybe those 2012 predictions have some merit. Never put much stock in predictions though,as most have become,well...false.

It was more a bumpy rolling sensation in Belvidere. The cat woke me up right before it hit as she was freaking out and thinking taking cover under the sheets was the way to go. Funny how animals can sense these things.

Mother Nature is po'd. That is obvious.

Woke me up. At first, thought it was a plow, but it went on too long and I couldn't hear a blade scraping pavement. Thought it might be an earthquake, but went back to sleep.

Having been through a few earthquakes myself, I think the rumbling sound is worse than the actual shaking. Hope you all are OK out there!

The midwest is very unstable geologically. I'm glad I live in CA. :)

"The New Madrid (MAD'rud) Seismic Zone, midway between St. Louis and Memphis, has a history of shaking violently, about every 500 years. When it shook for three months in 1811-12, this was the western frontier, and the population was sparse. If it shook with that magnitude again, the devastation would make Hurricane Katrina look "like a Sunday School picnic."

The New Madrid fault system is a series of faults several miles below the surface. Experts say we're overdue for a "6" like the one in 1895 which shook down buildings in the Charleston, Mo. area. The "big ones" of 1811-12 were probably high "7"s, accompanied by a few thousand smaller ones over 4-6 months."

They wouldn't have... it would have meant HUGE ratings(bigger than even this year) and revenue would have been off the charts. The fix is already in for next year.;)

I agree,if Minnesota would have been in the ratings may have been higher !The question is this. Who will be quarterbacking the Vikes next year?

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Great turmoil shall befall the Cub of the Lion
The New City shall be plunged into darkness
and her streets buried by an avalanche of white.

Torn in two along the banks of a great river
The forces of nature shall split the Cub of the Lion in half
and in so doing, bring the Cub to her knees.

Violent storms and quaking of the earth shall cause great unrest
The Cub of the Lion shall meet her doom
for having become an obamination, her fate has been sealed. :D;)
