I'm looking for a BAT VK-30, VK-31 or possibly an SE version of these 2 pre-amps. I am looking to spend between $1,000 and $1,500 give or take a little for it. Please let me know if you have one or know where to get one. Thank you for your time and help.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

You might find a VK-30 in that range, but not the SE version or the VK-31.

The VK-3i is also a nice one in your price range, and if you're lucky maybe you can find a VK-5i.

I have noticed that the SE's definately go for about $1,000 more. The cheapest I have seen is the 30SE for $1,950. Unfortunately it was sold already. I was looking for the specs on the VK-5i on BATs web site, but could not find them. I was steering away from the VK-3i because its output impedence is 1Kohms (to hi for my taste) Do you know the specs for the VK-5i, or where to find them?

I had the same problem when I bought the 5i; I emailed BAT. Right now I can't remember what the impedance was......yes, my memory sucks....but it was good enough to work with my 22 kohm amp.
Email them. They have great CS/support.

I second Ricardo's recommendation of BAT's customer service. They are super nice guys who go out of their way to help. That's a rarity these days. Shoot them an email and they'll do what they can.

Get the Belles in the FM.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben
