Whoever says PC gaming is dead...

That game, not to mention the device, looks awesome. Looks like I don't have to wait for Battlefield 3 (Battlefield Bad Company 2 seems very good but not a complete game).

Holy crap! I want the game and device now!!! The graphics looked pretty impressive, too. I'm going to have to re-try the demo now, 'cause I wasn't too enamored with the ARMAII demo I tried.George Grand wrote: »

The graphics are impressive but they aren't in many ways "pretty" like some of the other newer games. More realistic than anything, which is the whole point of that game.
It will eat up a slow processor if you try 1080p on high settings, just like BC2. My new Q9550 OC'ed to 4GHz with GTX275 now plays both very smoothly, but E6400 couldn't handle them. -
You have a very impressive system. I'm really looking forward to toying with my Q6600, getting a little more out of it. But I really want to upgrade RAM before I get around to doing that. And I neeeeed a more powerful GPU.George Grand wrote: »

I might have the GTX275 for sale soon. I picked up a HD5870 to try out and I might keep it. -
How much ram do you have now ab? Are you talking about upgrading what you have now, or adding more?
-
I'm running 2GB and just switched to W7 Ultimate 64-bit. I barely have any overhead in the RAM department. I would like to just upgrade to 2x2GB of DDR2 800 or so since my MOBO won't do DDR3.
I canNOT believe how much DDR2 has gone up in price in the last few months to a year!! Back when I was looking at RAM I picked out two 2x2GB DDR2 800 kits (yes, total of 8GB) for just under $100. Now I have to fork out that much for just one 2x2GB kit! Ridiculous...
The RAM I have now is DDDR2 667, so I would rather just get 4GB of DDR2 800, but depending on money and how patient I am, I might just add to my RAM. Though sticking with DDR2 I'm limiting the lifespan of my system already, so it might behoove me to go for something faster.
I need to jump up from my 7900GS and up my RAM, then I'll really jump in with OC'ing. I'd LOVE to get a CM HAF 932 for more space, better looks/organization, and much better cooling. But I just don't have the funds for hardly anything.George Grand wrote: »

If you're looking to overclock, you're much likely to get a better increase in performance by just replacing your RAM altogether, even if it's only with 2GB. 2GB of DDR2 800 is going to be better for you than 2GB of DDR2 800 and 2GB of DDR2 667

Sami, have you bought the TrackIR yet? It's only $179 with the headphone clip pro thing, I'm thinking abhout trying it.
-
Not yet but I do need to get it. NEED...

I just spec'd out an i7 system on newegg...only $3,800. :D:D
I think I'll just stick to some DDR2 800 RAM for now!George Grand wrote: »

Just let me know when you are ready to build a system, or have funds for it. I think I could get you a system like mine for around $1000 (with the 275, not the 5870). Watercooled Q9550 running at 4GHz, it's still no i7 overclocked to max but it's no slouch, I can tell you that.
Just give me the word...I'm itching to build another... -
Thanks for the offer, Sami! Appreciate it! However, based on my computing demands and lack of funds, a new build is a long ways off. I'll be sticking with my MOBO/CPU/PSU for quite a while.
However, I am very interested in upgrading RAM and GPU (and case at some point), and hopefully HD's, too. If you have any advice/deals on that front, I am definitely all ears.George Grand wrote: »

Check out Kingston DDR2 1066 Hyper X, newegg had it for like 109.00 for the 2x2gb kit. I run it with no problems and it has nice little overhead for the overclocking also. Wow RAM prices seem to change daily, now 112.00

Bought one with the headphone clip from Ebay for $164 with BIN option. I will let you know how it works.
