Eclipse PA5422 & MM6501's?

I'm pretty much a rookie when it comes to car audio installation.
I have an Eclipse PA5422 amp and I need a new pair of 6.5's. I am leaning towards the MM6501's. Can anyone recommend these? Or another pair of drivers?
Also I have a couple of other questions regarding the PA5422 Amp;
Should I use stereo or L+R mode on the amp?
Also, The amp has a variable High Pass for the front channels and a fixed high pass frequency of 120Hz/12dB oct. for the rear.
I have a second amp for my 10" sub.
I will only be using these two speakers (for now) either on the front or rear channels, in my Sprinter van.
Any recommendations on using either the front or rear channels and the High Pass filters?
