I picked up an extremely nice pair of SDA 2As today. blade blade
The tweeters have been upgraded to the RDO's, came with original boxes, cable, packaging, manuals, etc.
I've heard a lot of differing opinions about the 2A SDA effect issues but I've yet to hear anything bad through them today.
I did have to cut off the polyswitches and twist and solder them as the tweeters were really subdued but now they're a very good sounding speaker.
I'm very happy with the sound of these SDAs.

    I love my 2A's.

What 2A SDA effect issues are you speaking of? I've never heard of any problems with them.

The SDA effect on mine is great.

I've heard of guys disconnecting one tweeter on each speaker to make them sound better, removing the cable, etc for better sq.
I don't have perfect placement for them by any means but they still sound pretty darned good.

This is the first set of SDAs I've had in this room that actually fit in here and have a good sound to them. I bought ND13's SRS II and they had so much bass I coundn't run them in here, I had a CRS set up I couldn't get to sound right.

I'll get some pics up when I get everything straightened up. It's gonna be an hour or more so I can get my eyes open, coffee down, and just basically moving around. Old **** here takes a while to get the muscles loosened up and the old bones in alignment.

    :confused:2A's didn't have dimensional tweeters.

Do you have the original SDA 2's with 3 MW's and two tweeters?

My 2A's each have two MW's and one vertical tweeter.

I have the originals with 3 MWoofs and two tweeters. Sorry for the pics and mess. Like myself, my systems are still a work in progress.

The dimentional tweeters will give you the illusion of the music enveloping you. I've noticed with my original CRSs that the dim tweeks sometimes causes the instruments to sound like they are flying over my head or right at me which really isn't a bad thing. It may take some getting use to but I think you'll find it a rewarding experience.

I immediately noticed that overhead SDA effect when I had them set up with nothing between them. When I set them up 7" from the wall with the TV and racks between them it really toned that down. They still have good SDA effect but not nearly as much. I'm liking what I'm hearing out of them. They fit good and sound very good in their placement.
I'll probably replace the HF caps, resistors, and give a listen. They sound good as-is but the HF may be a little subdued as they are. I'll have to check the values of the caps. I should have done that when I snipped the head of the polyswitches but I guess I got a bit excited to listen to them. One "mod" at a time is my rule.
    So these are original 2's?
