Good and bad on the same media??

Just a wet Saturday afternoon rant....but, how many others have noticed good and bad mixes on the same media whether it be LP, CD, or SACD?
I'm relaxing and listening to some music on the rig here and had the 'new' SACD from MFL - Doobie Bros "Captain and Me" and was boggled blown away by the clarity of "South City Midnight Lady" - wow - clean, big sound stage, open, layered, etc - definitely a demo track to add to the list - double thumbs up!!
Then the next track was "Evil Woman" and it was total opposite - congested, strident, narrow and flat - as if it was from a different mix.
Oh well....

H9: If you don't trust what you are hearing, then maybe you need to be less invested in a hobby which all the pleasure comes from listening to music.
