Remove the center?

I just had my Panasonic TC-P54V10 plasma TV calibrated mid-January, and the guy indicated that the current placement of my center was probably worse than not having one at all with my 1C's. It sounds find when in the sweet spot, but when off center I prefer having a true center channel speaker.
I have a CS100 center channel. The plasma sits on a Techcraft BCE60 stand. Even if the CS100 could sit on the top shelf, it would sit on the TV base as well as block the IR remote eye. The second shelf doesn't allow the CS100 to physically slide into place due to the steel brackets. So that left the bottom shelf. I set the speaker angled to aim up towards the listening position.
The front of the 1C's are 27.75" from the rear wall, and I have the front of the plasma screen on that same plane.
So short of using twin centers (which I guess would need ideal physical placement because I wouldn't be able to adjust the volume per speaker), the only thing I've stumbled across is mounting a L-bracket to the rear wall which would somehow extend ~28" from the wall so the center could be flush with the 1C's.
Anyone know of such a bracket or have other ideas?

I'll post a pic this evening. He also commented about possibly getting rid of the RM3000 sub, or moving the front sub to the opposite front corner so it is diagonally across from the rear sub. I don't remember all the terms, but I think something to do with all the reflections and this would cancel out some of them?Yamaha RX-2600 receiver, Nakamichi Dragon, Mitsubishi HS-U80 VCR, Pioneer DVL-90 LD Player, Sony BDP-S550 Blu-ray player, Sony CDP-X555ES CD player, Carver TFM-42, Carver AV-634, Panasonic TC-P54V10 plasma, BenQ W1070 PJ, Fisher MT-90 turntable, AKG-K340 headphones, Polk SDA-1C mains, CS-400i center, FX A4 surrounds, Rti A1 surround backs

Regarding the subs you just have to make sure their phase matches then you'll be fine. You'll need an SPL meter probably for that.
