Polk SDA 1C's Up and Running

After a bit of fiddling I finally got my SDA 1C's up and running.
At first I didn't have the set up right but after reading the manual I tried this.
4 1/2 feet from the side walls, nearly seven feet between them and nine inches from the back wall sitting over seven feet away.
They sound awesome and even scary some times, my Luxman L-430 never gets past 10 oclock.
I can see some would not like the SDA effect but to me it's like being in a cinema or opera house with the sound all around, totally amazing.
I am so glad I didn't buy the Martin Logan's at the time, these things cost way less and have the sound I like.
My current main system now is:
ProJect Perspective II Turntable with Benz Micro Ace cart.
ProJect Tube Box II phono preamp with Philips/Amperex NOS tubes
Luxman L-430 integrated amp
Polk SDA 1C's
What more could a man want?
And to think just over a year ago I didn't even have a working stereo.;)

Looks like you are off to a rocking start... A year ago I was running Monitor 50's off a Yamaha receiver and thought my system was the shiznit. Since coming here I have spent bout 2500.00 on my rig and did home horsetrading of gear to get it where it is now. This is an incredibly fun hobby, but I sometimes curse the day I found this God-forsaken place because these guys are better at spending my money than my wife is.:D;)The Gear... Congrats on the new (to you) speakers! I bought mine last July and the wow factor is still undiminished. Oh and welcome to the club. Also, like thsmith said, the crossover and tweeter upgrades make them really shine.

Congratulations on getting set up. I am still working on mine. I advise staying away from the "flea market" page too. Nice people place far too tempting ads as they try new equipment.

Nice setup. Love my 1C's. How did you arrive at 9" off the back wall? I'm still playing with placement on mine. Currently have the 7" off the back wall. Looking for the best bass response.

What do you recommend in terms of crossovers and tweeters? I have an original pair of SDA 2a's and have only had to replace the mid range drivers. If there is a way of tweaking them, I'm all ears.
