My fiancee and I are moving into a new home w/ a huge living room.. We (I) would like to upgrade our center channel (RM7) to something larger.. I figured we would use the current RM7 to make a 6.1 channel system.. THE QUESTION Are there any mounts that would allow the RM7 center speaker to be mounted behind us and angled?? Thanks Chris

"Put the Center Channel Speaker right on the TV. Put them on stands next to the TV (use Polk Audio's own custom-designed SA Stands, made to compliment the look of the RM speakers). Hang the speakers on the walls. Use articulating brackets to aim them perfectly."

Direct from the Polk Audio product page for the RM series speakers. Don't have any experience with these myself, so I don't know the layout of the mounting holes etc. Seems like it is possible, so try doing a Google search for mounting options, or look for brackets online that will accomadate the mounting holes on the RM center. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

there are a multitude of speaker mounting options. first decide if its a permanent set up. if it is i suggest installing inserts to solid mount the existing center speaker to (2) wall mount brackets behind you. most bookshelf mounting kits can be adapted to just abut any speaker with a little enginuity if you plan to leave it there. just remember if you drill holes for mounting screws seal the holes after the screw is installed. also most centers are heavier then book shalf type so use (2) brackets in tandem to be on the safe side. good luck
